The team claims the Waverly Hills Historical Modern society is striving to choose the developing absent from operator Charlie Mattingly which the nonprofit has disputed.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — It has been an ongoing dispute and this weekend, enthusiasts of the paranormal turned to protest.
The group behind “Save Waverly Hills” is displaying their assist for the building’s proprietor.
They are claiming the Waverly Hills Historic Modern society, a nonprofit started out by Charlie Mattingly, is striving to get the creating away from him.
The Historic Culture submitted a lawsuit against Mattingly and the group promises they’re trying to get taxpayer dollars to aid with the home.
“If we enable that to transpire, we’re likely to get rid of Waverly Hills the way we see it now, it will not likely be the similar,” Keith Turner a protester stated.
This Historic Modern society reported they signed a 99-yr lease agreement 5 years ago with Mattingly, adhering to an IRS investigation into him and the nonprofit for inappropriate use of funds.
The society stated they also had to make variations to the leadership board of the nonprofit, taking away both of those Charlie and Tina from the board and the renovations from the property.
“The owner of Waverly Hills Sanatorium has not been compelled out. The Historical Culture has a lease with the proprietor and carries on to satisfy our arrangement. The historical pays for all fees and fees involved with the assets and has been doing so for approximately two many years,” Renae Clark, president of Waverly Hills Historical Society claimed.

They explained their mission is preserving, restoring and educating the general public about the constructing and it is heritage.
The Waverly Hills Historical Culture mentioned they still allow public visits to conduct paranormal investigations.
