The Etowah Historic Society has been housed at Elliott Group Heart because the 1990s, Gary Garrett, 1st vice president of the team, said. It is a position he mentioned he will overlook.

“It’s a historic developing, a 100-yr-previous college,” Garrett reported. “I went to Emma Sansom Significant Faculty, and many of my classmates went to elementary university there. They continue to notify stories about it when we get together.

“We always anticipated it would materialize someday,” Garrett reported of designs to tear it down. “We are thankful that the Town of Gadsden permit us use that place.”

A senior wellness heart is planned for the website soon after the group middle is demolished.

It took a great deal of get the job done, Garrett stated, to get every little thing out of Elliott in time. It helped that he and a different board member are retired.

“The individuals on the board, like me, we worked our tails off the get out of there on the deadline, and we did make it, on the previous working day,” he explained. “I’m 73, and my buddy (and the Historic Society’s 2nd Vice President) Charles Hawkins is 75, and the two of us packed up and hauled stuff for something like 15 days or more without having a crack.”
