Law Society of Ontario awards honorary degrees to eight legal professionals

She previously sat on numerous boards, including the Public Coverage Forum, the Canadian Plan and Exploration Community, and the Excellent Courtroom Judges Association. At present, she leads the Countrywide Action Committee on Access to Justice in Civil and Relatives Matters.

Dubbed as the “Condo Queen,” Loeb is a law firm, educator, author, and customer advocate. She presently serves as spouse and co-leader of the condominium apply team at Shibley Righton LLP.

She is the author of the two top texts on condominium regulation – “The Condominium Act: A User’s Manual” and “Condominium Regulation and Administration” – and the booklet entitled, “Condominium Ownership: What you need to know.” She is a repeated lecturer for the Ontario Bar Association and the LSO.

As a member of the Ontario Residential Review Team, she created recommendations to the authorities that resulted in the passage of the 1978 Condominium Act. She was also aspect of an qualified panel tasked to critique and suggest on proposed changes to the Condominium Act, 1998 and the Guarding Condominium Entrepreneurs Act, 2015.

Nahwegahbow is Anishinabe from Whitefish River 1st Country in Ontario. He is one of Canada’s primary Indigenous lawyers and the founding partner of Nahwegahbow Corbiere Genoodmagejig.
